Darren Watts

Darren Watts has been helping clients over his nearly two decades as an attorney, working in many areas of law as requested by the firms he has worked for. Since becoming his own boss, he is limiting the work he does to what he enjoys most. His basis in areas he does not currently practice provides insight to the interplay that always exists between specialties in the law.

Darren has practiced in family law, bankruptcy law, criminal law as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, contract law, employment law, business law, personal injury, and general litigation and can therefore spot pitfalls that may not be as readily apparent to other attorneys.

He received his Bachelor of Music from Brigham Young University School of Music where he competed in and advanced to the regional finals of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and at the same time earned a commission in the US Army through the ROTC. He shipped off to complete his military service in Germany, deploying to peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Kosovo.

Darren enjoys his free time with his wife and four talented and somewhat rowdy teenagers. They will travel to out of the way locations and explore what there is to see. Darren also spends his Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, as well as other times throughout the year, with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and intends to do so until they tell him he is too old.

After his service in the Army he went back to school and earned his Juris Doctor from J. Rueben Clark Law School at BYU. He is now admitted to practice in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, and Colorado, and Alaska (inactive).
